Last semester I've been working with my friend on ANSYS/HFSS link. Our work was supervised in Poland by Adam Wroblewski, which works for Cern from time to time (now he is in Switzerland). The person who defined the problem is Erk Jensen, as I checked he is from AB-RF group. The heart of the project was how results from HFSS modal analysis might be transported as a boundary condition for thermal (thermo-structural) analysis in ANSYS. We have created an algorithm (list of instructions) for HFSS user, program which produce a file with thermal loads for ANSYS and finally we have written a report and a script for ANSYS which guides user (not demanded good knowledge of ANSYS) through all preprcessing steps, so that the user has only to choose "Current LS" and do postprocessing. As electrodynamics was not a major part of my studies only what is need to be done is to discus with an expert the formula which express a heat flux as function of local E-M field value. However if there were necessary changes in mentioned formula its application in code shouldn't take more than a few minutes, so I can say that project is finished at least in 90-95% (there are necessary some tests to confront numerical results with reality).
Once again, thanks for your interest, All the best, Grzegorz Zelek
